MT-Textile 2 is incredibly cool, but it does require that you’re not an idiot when you install it. I deleted the older textile.pl module when I installed the new MT-Textile, relying on the new textile2.pl to do the right thing. It hadn’t occurred to me that the formatting assigned to a particular blog entry is stored as part of that entry, so now most of my blog is completely unformatted. I’m scrambling to find a quick way to change the formatter to Textile 2 for all of my blog entries, not just newly created entries.
Hint to would-be installers: unless you really want to unformat all your blog entries, leave textile.pl alone when you install MT-Textile 2. Brad doesn’t mention this in his installation docs, but I’m theoretically smart enough to have known better. Oops.
