Nano-scale motor

UC Berkeley physicists have created a tiny electric motor that measures only 500 nanometers across. What really gets me about this is that the motor is so small, the physicists can only guess at how fast the motor can spin. Their scanning electron microscope is limited to one image every 33 milliseconds, so they can’t tell if it’s moving any faster than 30 revolutions per second.

And you thought your mobile phone was small.
