I spent the weekend in Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene, ID, visiting pretty much every direct relation I know and a few indirect ones I don’t remember meeting before. Interesting thing about families: they tend to grow when you’re not looking.
The smiling folks in the image are my grandpa (whose birthday sparked this mad impromptu family reunion), my father, my aunt, and my uncle. It’s a nice little shot of all the kids on Grandpa’s side of the family.
We descended on the Cedars Floating Restaurant in Coeur d’Alene like a Biblical plague, and restaurant staff eventually had to clear us out to make way for the dinner crowd. Click the thumbnails for more pictures of this little gathering.
My apologies for the out-of-focus, randomly-exposed images. I discovered that my little CLIÉ‘s camera doesn’t deal well with widely differing amounts of light in the frame. Then again, it takes some know-how and a really good camera to pull off lighting conditions like these. I’m pretty pleased with the results, given that I shot all the photos with my PDA.
