NASA‘s Aerospace Technology Enterprise site has a really nifty video depicting a 24-hour period of commercial air traffic (Quicktime movie) over the continental United States. It’s particularly interesting to watch the explosion of traffic on the east coast as the morning flights begin, and the west coast soon follows with its own increase in flight density.
