The Center for Democracy and Technology has an excellent report out titled “Why Am I Getting All This Spam?”. It’s a six-month long research project started in the summer of 2002 to determine the most common ways that spammers obtain email addresses. Not only is it enlightening, it contains some useful tips for keeping your email address out of the hands of the spammers.
